![]() The thread does give a fix for the other problems, but does not mention your one. But then I discover that, magically, if I I select the + sign again, it jumps down to the right position next to the 6! Elated, I now go to print the dulcimer part, but as soon as I click "OK" to print, all the + signs jump back up above the tab staff!įor those hardy souls who are still with me, I ask, no, I BEG anyone who understands this behavior to please explain how to keep those little + signs where they belong.ĭick, I know nothing about dulcimers but I see that there may be more problems than you are already aware of with Finale 2010's dulcimer tab if you look at the thread Questions before I buy. I do this, and after a lot of finagling with the articulation definition I still can't make it go right beside the "6". This adds the + sign to the articulation definitions, which must be manually added to the "6" fret number for each C# in the piece. The knowledge base has the answer, which is to download and apply the dulcimer tab library. ![]() I don't know how to do this, so I go to the Finale knowledge base. The C-natural is denoted in tab as fret 6, while the C# is either 6+ or 6.5. ![]() The dulcimer is a diatonic instrument, but most of them have a "half fret" so there is at least a C-natural and a C# and in some cases an F-natural and an F# (in DAD tuning). I copy the notation to the tab staff and everything is great, right? WRONG. I go to staff attributes and select the dulcimer tab and apply it. ![]() I'm doing a score that inclues mountain dulcimer, for which I want to provide a tablature staff.
